EUROPEAN COMPANIES TAKE LEAD IN CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS

LOS ANGELES – Productions for Heineken International of Amsterdam, Volkswagen AG, Berlin, D'ieteren in Belgium and BP, London, took top honors in corporate communications at the 2005 U.S. International Film And Video Festival.
 
ZCENE MovingMediaCompany received a Gold Camera in Employee-Oriented communications for a video highlighting Heineken’s focus on being an international oriented global company. 
 
BM8 BmbH, Wedel, Germany, won a Gold Camera in the same category for a film on Volkswagen AG’s company values. 
 
In Corporate Communications-Stockholder category, Jacaranda, London, received a Gold Camera for four one-minute films featuring company teams that won Helios Awards for best representing company values. 
 
Kaos Films, Brussels, also won in this category for its use of photo archives and current video to tell story of the 200-year-old D’ieteren family group. The film was done for Dune SA agency. 
 
The competition attracted entries from 30 countries. Awards granted in all categories included 54 Gold Camera, 109 Silver Screen and 139 Certificates of Excellent. 

Silver Screen Second place awards went to the following in Employee Oriented communications category: Jacaranda, London, for a production, “Shared Vision 9,” for client mining company Rio Tinto; 
 
Maguire/Reeder. Ltd., Alexandria, Va., USA, two Silver awards for productions created for the U.S. Army’s annual convention; 
 
Momentum NL, Amstelveen, The Netherlands, for a production for TNT NV, Hoofddorp, to kick off global presentations around the Walk The World event to raise money to fight world hunger; 
 
Equinox Film/TV Production, Salford, Lancashire, United Kingdom, for a dramatization for JJB Sports on how staff members should interact with disabled consumers; 
 
Stark Film & Event AB, Gothenburg, for a production on teamwork for AB SKF; 
 
Take 3 Productions, London, for a film introducing the new logo for Land Registry United Kingdom and explaining how the field of Land Registry is changing; 
 
World Television, London, for “OneBP Invision,” a magazine style program to be seen by employees of World Television; 
 
Dockhouse Film & TV AB, Gothenburg, Sweden, a film showcasing importance of all jobs at Connex Transport AB;
 
Centex Corporation, Dallas, Texas, for a behind-the-scenes look produced by Magellan Media, Costa Mesa, Calif., demonstrating Centex Homes’ involvement in building a home for the ABC show, “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”; 
 
Seed Communications, Emmeryville, Calif., for a production designed to tell stories of innovation at Hewlett-Packard, Palo Alto. 
 
Winning a Silver in Corporate Communications-Dealer, Distributor, Franchisee was Australian Business Theatre, Victoria, for a film created to change the perception of EAN Australia from a “supplier of barcodes” to a partner that can help businesses grow. 
 
Silver winners for productions aimed at stockholders included Razor/Headcorn, Kent, for “Making the Right Moves,” a production done for Associated British Foods, London, and using the metaphor of a chess game to describe the corporate moves to create a larger global business; and Broad Street Inc., New York City, for its “Time Warner Corporate Profile.”
 
Certificates of Excellence in Corporate Communications were presented to: 
Unlimited Films, Guadalajara, Mexico, for work for Nice de Mexico SA de CV; Moodfactory, Amsterdam, for film on the Royal Dutch Army; CIBC New Media, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs, Toronto, for work introducing new employees to Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce; Robin Lewin Productions, Los Angeles, for production on a new medical device from Edwards Lifesciences Corp.; Circle R Media, LLC., Fort Worth, Tex., for “Workspace “Transitions” for Radio Shack Corp.; castor-film gmbh, Stuttgart, Germany, for company highlights film for DaimlerChrysler AG; Bladonmore Media, London, for film on student accommodation services offered by UNITE Group PLC, and World Television, London, for “Reuters Living Fast” telling its own employees the significance of the company’s new quarters.
